Information For Authors

Journal of PrestieeSci in Surgery, an international English language, open-access online and print journal, will consider for publication original articles, short communications, case reports, letters to the editor, editorials and mini-reviews. Emphasis is given to all aspects of the surgery cases from basic science to all surgery types

Manuscripts are received with the understanding that they have not been published or are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts are accepted based on the recommendations of the referees. Published papers become the sole property of Journal of Primary Care and General Practice and will be copyrighted by the journal.

The original copy of the manuscript along with tables and figures should be sent to the editorial office online at  Submission Linkor send it as mail attachment to Official Mail ID.

Papers will be published approximately 15 days after acceptance. Submit manuscripts as an e-mail attachment to the Editorial Office at Official Mail ID

A manuscript number will be emailed to the corresponding author within 72 hours.

 

Open Access Policy

Research papers published in electronic versions of PrestieeSci in Surgery may be freely viewed/ copied/ and printed by individual academicians and researchers.

Declaration of originality, authorship and competing interest on behalf of all authors of the manuscript

This manuscript is based on original work and had not been published in whole or part, in any print or electronic media  other than as abstract of conference proceedings.

Benefits of Open Access include greater visibility, accelerated citation, immediate access to the full text versions, higher impact and authors retain the copyright to their work. It also allows immediate deposit of the final published version in other repositories without restriction on re-use.

 

Editorial Policies and Process

PrestieeSci in Surgery Studies follows a progressive editorial policy that encourages researchers to submit the original research, reviews and editorial observations as articles, well supported by tables and graphic representation.

Note: Authors are sole responsible for any scientific misconduct including plagiarism in their articles; publisher is not responsible for any scientific misconduct happened in any published article. As a publisher we will follow strictly scientific guidelines and EIC’s advice to retract or erratum of any article at any time if scientific misconduct or errors happened in any articles.

 

Article Processing Charges (APC) :

PrestieeSci in Surgery is self-financed and does not receive funding from any institution/government. Hence, the Journal operates solely through processing charges we receive from the authors and some academic/corporate sponsors. The handling fee is required to meet its maintenance. Being an Open Access Journal of PrestieeSci in Surgerydoes not collect subscription charges from readers that enjoy free online access to the articles. Authors are hence required to pay a fair handling fee for processing their articles. However, there are no submission charges. Authors are required to make payment only after their manuscript has been accepted for publication. Mentioned article processing charges are basic charges and these charges may vary based on the extensive editing, color effects, complex equations, extra elongation of no. of pages of the article and based on funding etc.


Average Article prorcessing time (APT) is 45 days and  all the accepted articles will be online within 5 to 7 working days

 

Note: If author wants to make their article on subscription mode then author need to pay the basic production cost of 319 Euros which includes (Pre- quality, review, Graphic, HTML). If author wants to withdraw the article after 78 Hours of receiving the author need to pay the 20% of  open Access article processing fees. Since, the review process requires input of Editors, Reviewers, Associate Managing Editors, Editorial Assistants, Content Writers, Editorial Managing System & other online tracking systems to ensure that the published article is of good quality and is in its best possible form.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
 Arrange the manuscript as follows: Title page, structured Abstract and Key words, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, Sources of Funding, Disclosures, References, Figure legends, Tables and Figures. Do not import figures into the text file. Number the pages consecutively, beginning with the title page as 1. The last name of the first author should be typed at the top of each page. To ensure that the final, published version matches the electronic file, make sure that you use only Times New Roman or Arial, fonts, double spaced. The use of nonstandard fonts may lead to missing symbols. Text files must be saved as doc.files. All manuscripts must be accompanied by a covering letter detailing what is being submitted and indicating the author to whom we should address correspondence and page proofs. Author must sign a publishing agreement supplied by Pulsus Group. upon acceptance for publication. The editors encourage authors to provide the names (including e-mail address) of at least five potential reviewers who have not been collaborators or coauthors within the past three years and have not provided advice or critique of the submitted manuscript. Authors may list up to a maximum of three reviewers they wish to exclude.


TITLE PAGE:
 The title, authors’ names (including full first or middle names and credentials [MD, PhD, MSc, etc]) and a short running title of 45 characters should appear on the title page. Include the name of the institution from which the work originated plus the full name, mailing address with postal code, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail address of the author to whom communication, proofs and requests for reprints should be sent.


ABSTRACT AND KEY WORDS:
 On a separate page, provide a structured abstract of no more than 250 words. It should be subdivided into four subsections headed: Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Abstract for case reports need not to be structured but are limited to 150 words. Abbreviate only standard units of measurement. At the end of the abstract, include a list of three to six key words or phrases for indexing purposes.


TEXT:
 Text should be divided into Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion. Appropriate subheadings should be provided in the Methods, Results and Discussion sections. Abbreviations should follow the form recommended in ‘Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals’ prepared by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors and published in Ann Intern Med 1997;126:36-47 and Can Med Assoc J 1997;156:270-7. Create a list of nonstandard abbreviations and nonstandard acronyms used in the text. References, figures and tables should be cited in the text with numbers assigned according to the order of mention in the text.


ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:
 Brief acknowledgements may appear at the end of the text, before the references.


REFERENCES: 
References should be cited in numerical order in which they appear in the text. Identify references in the text by Arabic numerals in parentheses on the line. Personal communications, manuscripts in preparation and other unpublished data are not cited in the reference list but may be mentioned in the text in parentheses. References cited in figures and tables, but not in the text, should also be numbered. Type the reference list double-spaced, separate from the text. The style and punctuation of references is as follows:

FIGURES:
 All figures must be submitted in their original formats. The lettering, decimals, lines and other details on the figures should be sufficiently large to withstand reduction and reproduction. Graphs must be created using Microsoft Word (.doc), Microsoft Power Point (.ppt), Microsoft Excel (.xls), Corel Draw (.cdr), or adobe illustrator (.al or .eps). Any graphics imported into your figure must also be submitted separately. Photographs may be scanned at a resolution of no less than 300 dpi and saved as a .tiff file. Place crop marks on photomicrographs to show the essential field, and designate special features with arrows (which must contrast with the background).

FIGURE LEGENDS: Type double-spaced, separate from the rest of the text with figure numbers corresponding to the order in which figures are presented in the text. Identify all abbreviations appearing on figures in alphabetical order at the end of each legend. Enough information should be given to allow interpretation of the figure without reference to the text. Figure legends should not appear on the actual figures. Written permission from the publisher and author to reproduce any previously published figures must be included.

TABLES: Type double-spaced, on a separate page of the rest of the text, with the number above the table and explanatory notes below. Table numbers should appear in Arabic numerals and should correspond to the order of the tables in the text. If abbreviations are used an alphabetical listing must be included in the footnote. Written permission from publisher to reproduce any previously published tables must be included.

POLICY ISSUES: All statements and opinions are the responsibility of the authors. With submission of the manuscript, a letter of transmittal must indicate that all authors have participated in the research, and have reviewed and agree with the content of the article.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST: All authors must disclose any commercial associations or other arrangements (eg, financial compensation received, patient-licensing arrangements, potential to profit, consultancy, stock ownership, etc) that may pose a conflict of interest in connection with the article. This information will be made available to the editor and reviewers, and may be included as a footnote at the editor’s discretion.

ETHICS OF HUMAN AND ANIMAL EXPERIMENTS: If human subjects are involved, the text must indicate that all gave informed consent and that the protocol was approved by the institutional review committee. If experimental animals are used, provide a statement in the text to indicate that all procedures followed were in accordance with institutional policies.

PROOFS: Authors should keep a copy of their original manuscripts as page proofs will be sent to them without the original manuscript. To avoid delays in publication, authors are required to return proofs within 48 hours by fax or e-mail. Submit Manuscript

Guidelines for Papers Submissions

Research Articles:

  • Research articles are articles written based on the empirical/secondary data collected using a clearly defined research methodology, where conclusion/s is drawn from the analysis of the data collected.
  • The information must be based on original research that adds to the body of knowledge in Plastic Surgery and Cosmetology.
  • Article/s should provide a critical description or analysis of the data presented while adding new and rapidly evolving areas in the field.
  • Include an abstract of maximum 300 words with 7 to 10 important keywords.
  • The abstract should be divided into Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  • Research articles must adhere to a format constituting the introduction followed by a brief review of relevant literature, methodology applied (to collect the data), discussion and References, Tables, and Figure Legends.

Review Articles:

  • Review articles are written based mostly on secondary data that is falling in line with the theme of the journal. They are brief, yet critical discussions on a specific aspect of the subject concerned. Reviews generally start with the statement of the problem with a brief abstract of 300 words and few key words.   • Do not add separate figure legends to clinical images; the entire clinical image text is the figure legend. Images should be submitted with the manuscript in one of the following formats: .tiff (preferred) or .eps.

Letters to the Editor/Concise Communications:

  • Letters to the editor should be limited to commentaries on previous articles published with specific reference to issues and causes related to it.  It should be concise, comprehensive and brief reports of cases or research findings. It does not follow a format such as abstract, subheads, or acknowledgments. It is more a response or the opinion of the reader on a particular article published and should reach the editor within 6 months of article publication.

Acknowledgement: This section includes acknowledgment of people, grant details, funds, etc.
